Growing up in a small farming community working in the fields and the canneries, Chef CJ Sterling learned at a young age about food; where it came from, how it grew and what constitutes a quality product. That education continued as she moved into her first professional cooking position at age 17. A few years after that she opened a restaurant in Oregon with her mother, and spent a summer as a crew trainer opening new restaurants for a large chain, before returning to college. |

Working for over 20 years in various types of restaurants ranging from Japanese to Greek, family style to Fine Dining, Chef CJ honed her skills as a professional chef. Traveling to such places as Japan, Europe, Australia and the Middle East, added to her knowledge, as did a Food Science & Nutrition major in college. Chef CJ’s extensive experience includes positions as Executive Chef and General Manager in a wide variety of restaurants including a Sushi Bar and Four Star Beach Resort Hotel. |
